Design

The CANT Z.1011 was being designed at the same time the CANT Z.1007 and was favored as a medium bomber by the Regia Aeronautica.

The CANT Z.1011 had plywood covering a wooden frame.

The bombardier was located in a transparent nose.

Prototypes

There were five prototypes built from 1935 to 1936.

Usage

It was found that the engines were very underpowered and the five that were built were converted into transports for high ranking officials.
